Holistic Massage
An holistic massage involves a variety of techniques designed to relax and release toxins from the muscles whilst increasing oxygen in the blood.
Stroking in the direction of the heart stimulates circulation and helps to flush the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid and other metabolic wastes, all of which helps to shorten recovery time after muscle strain.
As well as providing specific medical benefits, holistic massage can improve general health and well being.
Deep Tissue Massage
DTM works to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger-pressure on the body through slow strokes and deep finger-pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fibres of the muscles, tendons and fascia. DTM helps to loosen muscle tissue, release toxins from muscles and encourage blood and oxygen to circulate properly.
Thai Traditional Massage
Thai traditional massage has strong links with the Buddhist system of healing. A blend of yoga, acupressure and reflexology, it is designed to open the body’s natural energy flow, encouraging healing and relaxation. The therapist moves the body into yoga-like positions, stretching muscles on a rhythmic movement of gentle rocking, while using pressure and compression to release tension.
